end of july update

Hello everyone!

Sorry I've been a bit vacant! I've been incredibly busy and haven't had much time to sit and blog about what's going on. Without further ado, short update time!

First off, wow I love Jesus! Everyday He teaches me something new and enforces truths I already know. My church is growing like crazy and starting new community groups and an evening service in the fall to be able to welcome more people. I have learned so much these last 8 months walking with God and I feel like a new person and I all I want is for people without God to know the hope that he gives us:

I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope though the power of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 15:13

We now have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.
Hebrews 6:19

Secondly, wow community is incredible! I am in love with my church family and how real and open we can be with each other. The people in my life are greatly blessing me with prayer, love, and support. It's been a rough few weeks trying to figure out my living situation as well as financial situation. I'll be moving back in with my Grandma to save money around the middle of August and while I'm there I will still be able to commute to work with the bus and also continue to go through my belongings to sell.

Lastly, I have an exciting partnership coming up for fundraising with UnashamedTees that I will let you all know about when the time comes!

I will be posting periodic updates of my progress of raising money here every month of so. Please email me or message me if you're interested in any of the above that I mentioned in the image! I'm taking orders for fall items not (like crocheted beanies or knitted fingerless gloves) and well at orders for bracelets. I would also love to shoot your senior, engagement, family, wedding, or you name it pictures! I really love anything to do with editing as well so if you have pictures you need edited or processed or want a fancy facebook cover photo or blog header, let me know! Even if you have a picture with too many fly away hairs, I'll fix it!

Thank you for the love and support,
Madison

The story:
My name is Madison and I have redeemed by Jesus.

(You can read my full testimony here but the below includes parts of it)

When I first heard the song above, I couldn't help but think, "Wow, they really got my life story in a song," but that's because this song is all of us. We are all sinners carrying debts, thinking we can live without God, and living in darkness. Our pasts haunt us, we are shameful and hoping for freedom.
But what was once lost will be found.
Jesus waited for me for 19 years. He watched me sit in my own pain alone and terrified  He watched me hurt myself, He watched me starve, He watched me not be able to get out of bed, He watched me sit in a psych ward with so little hope but a heart still overflowing. The darkness in my life was overwhelming to say the least; I had essentially heard a life sentence of illness from professionals who said I would forever live this way.
BUT Jesus changed my story.
Jesus renews me everyday.
Jesus took my place and paid the greatest debt of all.

Weeping may last though the night, but joy comes in the morning.
Psalms 30:5

He reminds me that I have his love and mercy always. He reminds me there is no such thing as "too far gone." I may live in "recovery" the rest of my life, but I get to live in recovery with Jesus.

While working on recovery, I started to make more and more bracelets to take up my time and keep my hands busy. At this point, they are literally everywhere and I get asked all the time where I got them. It only took a few years for me to make the connection that people are probably interested :) So here I am, hoping to cover lots of wrists with hope and the reminder and reassurance that we can all be redeemed!

The bottom line:

I am in the process of applying to Calvary Chapel Bible College in Murrieta, CA. Their program is a two year study in theology and totals $13,000 ($3250 a semester). Unfortunately, they do not accept financial aid. So here is where you come in! I have started to offer these bracelets as a fundraiser of sorts (and all fall approaches, other items should be available. I can knit and crochet and make all sorts of things!).

I'm trying to keep costs low but supplies aren't cheap (especially for the corded styles because of all the extra hardware). If you're in financial constraint and still would love one, please still get in contact with me and we can figure something out!

Thank you so much for the support and love,
Madison

drawing words

The nights have been extra long lately so I've been spending time "drawling words" as I like to call it.

Silverwood

///
I haven't been to Silverwood in probably 7 years and work was closed so I got to go with my favorite second family! I had SO much fun it was crazy :) It was honestly the most perfect day filled with so much love and laughing and I didn't want it to end even though we were all running on 4 hours of sleep.

breaking

I will have a post up later today - I've been hardly home except to sleep (and often not even then) for the last week and a half which means I've also been away from my computer...for anyone who follows, thank you for understanding my small hiatus.
